After many years of helping people navigate the health care system, Shannon developed an interest in helping people navigate other complex areas of life and decided to go to law school. Outside of the office, Lisa is a licensed ham radio operator and was recently appointed Emergency Coordinator for Roscommon County. She is a state-certified Auxiliary Communicator and a member of Livingston County’s Community Emergency Response Team. She’s also a violist and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. On football Saturdays, Lisa wages her own internal battle, having earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from what is now Michigan State University. She lives on a small hobby farm with her husband, teenage daughter, goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and a house pig named Winston. Her horses are boarded nearby.
